The Academic Coordinator is a full-time faculty member who reports to an Associate Dean I and works closely with the relevant School and College academic advising and administrative staff, and faculty to address a variety of academic and student issues. Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor of designated specialty. Stay current in specialty industry trends and standards. Maintain and enhance network of industry leaders to support an informed curriculum within the specialty. Manage faculty within assigned specialty. Mentor and coach faculty, monitoring faculty performance to meet University and College of Nursing requirements. Lead faculty meetings within specialty for both full-time and adjunct faculty, ensuring faculty are up to date with University and College of Nursing changes. Facilitate a team environment within the specialty, encouraging open communication and shared governance. Build rapport and maintain frequent communication with both full-time and adjunct faculty within the specialty. Respond to and investigate student concerns, documenting progress and outcome in appropriate platforms. Interview, hire, and manage onboarding of new faculty.
