The AR/Credentialing Specialist is responsible for resolving inbound patient inquiries related to billing in a multichannel Contact Center Environment. Expected Compensation: $22 - $24/hour depending on experience + 5% annual bonus potential Key Responsibilities: Responsible for accurate and timely insurance claims follow-up and accounts receivable resolution for assigned clinics Accountable for complex payers, aged claims, and special accounts receivable projects Adhere to government regulations, payer contracts and insurance guidelines when performing insurance follow-up, resolving open accounts, and appealing claims Be a key contributor to the Revenue Cycle by identifying and reporting inefficiencies and opportunities that enhance revenue flow, decrease denials, and minimize write-offs Maintain confidentiality of all patient information with a full understanding of HIPAA requirements Demonstrates flexibility to meet the needs of all internal and external customers including changes to workflows, work volume and work schedules Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 2-4 years in a healthcare environment required, preferably in billing, front office administration or call center Ability to read and understand insurance EOBs Must possess strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to multi-task while maintaining the highest-level of quality in every patient interaction High School diploma or GED required Working Conditions: Standard office environment with occasional travel to corporate or office locations. Potential exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for 3-4 hours at a time Fine finger coordination required for typing Ability to speak clearly with team members so others can understand.
