Applications Engineer

TUTCO Farnam Custom Products is seeking a customer-focused Application Engineer to serve as the technical and commercial liaison between customers and TUTCO Farnam Custom Products, helping OEMs and industrial customers identify, design, and implement custom electric heating and control panel solutions. TUTCO Farnam specializes in custom electric heating systems, process air heaters, flexible heaters, industrial control panels, and integrated thermal solutions for a broad range of industries. This role combines consultative selling, project management, and customer relationship development to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs and end users. Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer accounts. Generate and manage a sales pipeline to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. Conduct customer visits, presentations, and application reviews. Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines. Customer & Technical Support Partner with customers to understand thermal process, heating, airflow, controls, and performance requirements. Evaluate customer specifications, operating conditions, and application constraints. Provide technical guidance and recommendations on heater selection, system integration, and control strategies. Support sales teams through customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and technical discussions. Collaborate with engineering teams on product development and custom designs. Project Management Coordinate customer projects from quotation through production and delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial communications. Monitor project milestones, schedules, and customer expectations. Ensure smooth transition of projects from sales to manufacturing and customer support.
