Architect / Architectural Assistant Part 2 – Job Description Purpose and objectives of the role An Architect / Architectural Assistant acts under supervision regarding architectural methods and complexities and is responsible for the development and design of complex architectural projects. In this position you may act a member of a team supporting the lead architect. This position contributes to the finished packages, specifications, approval of materials/products and development of construction packages. The Architect / Architectural Designer must be able to apply sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments. Main duties and responsibilities Technical Role Liaise closely with the Project Lead in the design development of the scheme with regular interim meetings. Responsible for the preparation of new designs and adaptations to existing designs, drawings, specifications and schedules to suit design development and information release requirements. Independently evaluate, select and apply knowledge of design and construction techniques. Liaise with consultants and relevant statutory authorities to establish the conceptual framework. Assist the Project Lead in the coordination of the design team on a day-to-day basis and in maintaining good working relationships. Instruct, clarify and develop design studies with individual members of the team. Attend client meetings and presentations as necessary. Contribute to the layout
