The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will administer security measures under the direction of the FSO as necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM) and related federal requirements for classified and unclassified contracts, materials, documents and equipment. Essential functions : SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Serves as primary point of contact for security related employee/site issues and backup point of contact for DCSA Receive, generate, classify, mail, reproduce, store, transmit, ship and destroy all classified material and maintain applicable records as prescribed by 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule. Review incoming DD-254s and ensure the facility’s compliance with the applicable security requirements Complete and submit self-inspection in NISS Provide the following training and education: Ensure all cleared employees have mandatory training for derivative classification (if applicable) training and insider threat training Provide required initial brief, annual training
