Job Purpose and Dimensions: Develop, qualify, validate, design-in, and support next-generation IC products for applications such as Opamp, interface and Isolation chip. Principal Accountabilities: • Design, debug and test new products and support old products. • Use different kinds of design tools to design and verify analog circuit. • Work closely with back-end designers to correctly implement analog designs to layout and do post-layout simulation. • Work closely with VE/ATE testing engineers at lab for chip debugging, testing and necessary customer support. • Understand and verify any new manufacture process or flow. • Write block level design spec according to chip spec. Write design guide of block level. • Prove design to satisfy the chip spec through checklist, simulation result in design review. Key Performance Measures: • The project development responsibility: design schedule control and creativity. • Product development: chip and analog block size, finish design on time • Design quality: silicon revision due to design bugs. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: • MS EE or related field • Strong fundamentals in analog IC design Key Relationships: Layout Design, Validation, Test Engineer, Product Engineer • MSEE Degree with Electrical Engineering background (or relevant discipline). • Understanding of basic electronic circuits (amplifiers, filters, ADC/DAC, etc.). • Understand analog IC design flow. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot circuits. • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively within a team. • Previous Lab experience with circuit testing is a plus.
