Position Summary: The Associate Chemist prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to approved scientific methodology in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position can be physical job that may require standing for long periods, working with organic solvents, laboratory glassware and specialized equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include: Preparation of samples using standard techniques Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques Evaluation and quantification of data Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor Performing routine instrument maintenance Competency in complex instrumentation instrument specific software (training is provided) Responsible for keeping personal training documentation (training records, IDOC/DOC) current and accurate Responsible for timely completion of assigned/scheduled QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT) As required, documents NCMs for projects with quality issues Understands and utilizes backlog
