Associate Content Developer
Position Purpose : Responsible for providing editorial support to the Editorial department in a variety of capacities. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with product development and long-range editorial planning, including concepting new products Review, edit, and approve manuscript and production stages, working directly with copyeditors, graphic designers, and photo researchers Create, edit, review, and approve slide decks based on style guidelines Track programmatic pieces, including learning outcomes, Lexile ranges, writing prompts, student supports, text types, etc. Review and evaluate BEC’s new technology products Aid in the QA of new digital products Complete time tracking documentation on a weekly basis Create or update Product Library documentation and product metadata as requested Attend regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings with team members to discuss content, workflow, and product status Job Requirements/Skills and Experience: B.A. in English, education, or a related field (M.A. a real plus) Superior writing, editing and project management skills Current knowledge of language, literacy and content issues Intermediate-Advanced proficiency, MS Office Basic proficiency, Adobe Creative Suite is preferred Comfortable juggling several projects concurrently Able to work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., design and marketing) Excellent communication and organizational skills Teaching experience is a plus ABOUT BENCHMARK EDUCATION COMPANY Benchmark Education Company (BEC) is a leading publisher of core, supplemental, and intervention literacy and language resources in English and Spanish, with valid and reliable digital assessments that inform instruction.
