The work location of this role is on-site, meaning it will be performed in the specified office on a full-time basis due to the business needs of the team. This role may require working evening or overnight shifts (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM). The Associate Data Center Hardware Engineer is a hands-on technical role focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of LinkedIn's global infrastructure. This position is responsible for executing hardware break-fix activities, providing advanced troubleshooting support, and serving as an escalation point for contracted data center technicians. In addition to performing direct repair work, the role partners with vendors, mentors contract staff, and drives consistency in service delivery across all LinkedIn data center operations. Responsibilities: Perform break-fix repairs, including but not limited to replacing failed drives, DIMMs, fans, power supplies, and other server or network hardware components. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues from contracted technicians, applying diagnostics and escalating unresolved issues to Data Center Hardware Engineers or LinkedIn engineering teams as needed.
