Associate, Interconnection

ROLE OVERVIEW This role will manage the utility interconnection application and incentive process for solar and battery storage projects across the nation. As the primary point of contact with utilities, this position will streamline utility communications and internal reporting, ensuring projects move forward expeditiously. Pivot Energy is in an exciting growth period and is looking to expand its C&I pipeline by developing an interconnection and incentive process that is scalable for the diverse markets in which we operate. This is a position with tremendous growth potential that involves working across multiple teams. The individual hired for this role must be organized, collaborative, and goal-oriented. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Create scalable process – Create a process for regular communication with utility partners, as well as timeline and status reporting to the Pivot internal team members. Suggest process improvement, such as better software utilization. Interconnection Applications and Incentives Submits interconnection applications and tracks routine milestones under supervision, escalating discrepancies and timeline issues to senior staff as needed. Accurately enters and maintains data using tools like Excel and Smartsheet, initially with guidance and increasingly with autonomy. Follows established auditing procedures and participates in basic quality control reviews. Independently manages application records and milestone statuses across multiple projects or markets. Ensures portfolio dashboards and tracking sheets are current and accurate. Verifies payment transactions and milestone statuses with finance and project teams. Escalates issues when timelines appear at risk or when information is missing. Updates trackers (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, Salesforce) with milestone completions and payment status. Collaborates with development, engineering, and finance to maintain real-time visibility into progress and risks. Communicates proactively with internal sta
