Audit Manager - SOX Compliance

The role of the Audit Manager is to oversee the audit process from planning to completion for clients as part of the company’s annual audit plan. Tasks will include supervising the audit process, researching, reviewing current processes and providing recommendations to enhance company policies and procedures. The Audit Manager is responsible for training, supporting, supervising, motivating, and reviewing the work of audit staff and senior members. Responsibilities : Possess thorough knowledge of all facets of client’s business to ensure client understanding of engagement economics and to provide frequent updates Actively communicate the progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to clients Continuously improve specialty area knowledge and educate team on new audit practices and processes Manage billable hour budgets and follow up when the team is over/under to determine the cause Lead multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously Delegate and manage audit and accounting assignments to achieve accurate and efficient product Research and identify complex audit issues and recommend creative solutions with the input of key stakeholders Build challenging developmental plans for all team members and evaluate results Manage billable hour budgets and follow up when the team is over/under to determine the cause Assume responsibility for and provide direction and coaching to the audit team Generate new business for the firm through
