Backend Engineer (Node, Typescript)

Listed as a remote role based in European Union. We are seeking a proven Backend Developer to join our client on an initial 12-month contract to work on the development and enhancement of scalable, high-performance backend services. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. This is a remote working position, but you must be comfortable working 2pm-10pm CET, to align with US-based teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. Build and optimise database solutions using PostgreSQL. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues. Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements. Required Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience developing backend applications with Node.js. Excellent knowledge of TypeScript. Proven experience designing and working with PostgreSQL databases. Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
