Brand Design Engineer
BRAND DESIGN ENGINEER ABOUT BLAND AI We’re a Series C startup that has raised over $100M from Emergence Capital, Scale Venture Partners, Y Combinator, and the founders of PayPal and Twilio. Our mission is to build the world's most human AI phone agents. Thousands of businesses rely on Bland AI to automate customer conversations while delivering an experience customers actually enjoy. We're growing quickly, and marketing plays a critical role in how the world experiences Bland. Every website interaction, campaign, product launch, piece of content, and brand expression is an opportunity to make Bland feel differentiated, credible, and world-class. We're looking for a Brand Design Engineer to help define what that looks like. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS Bland is building one of the most ambitious companies in AI, and our brand needs to match the ambition of the product. We're looking for someone with exceptional design taste who can own the visual quality of our marketing—from brand systems and creative direction to the website itself. This is a hybrid design + technical role. You should have a strong foundation in design and an obsessive eye for typography, composition, motion, interaction, and visual systems. But you should also be comfortable working directly in code. Our website is custom-built, and we want the person who owns it to be able to actually make changes—not just write tickets for an engineer. You'll use modern AI coding tools like Claude Code to build, iterate, and ship design directly to the website. You'll work closely with Brand, Content, Product Marketing, Growth, and Engineering to make Bland's entire marketing presence feel cohesive, polished, and unmistakably ours. WHAT YOU'LL DO OWN BLAND'S MARKETING DESIGN Own the visual design direction across the marketing organization. Develop and maintain the systems, guidelines, templates, and visual language that make Bland consistently look exceptional across web, campaigns, events, content, social, and product
