Brand Manager
CRITICAL REFLEX is an indie game publisher for the strange, the bold, and the genre-defiant. Our games punch through the noise: unsettling horror, surreal experiments, unhinged vibes that linger. Mouthwashing, Buckshot Roulette, Arctic Eggs, Threshold, Lunacid and whatever makes you whisper “what the fuck” in awe. We work hands-on with developers to bring bizarre visions to life, amplifying their voices. Our philosophy? Genre is a prison and we are the warden. Role Overview: At CR, we don’t do beige games, and we definitely don’t do beige marketing. We’re looking for a Brand Manager to build unforgettable campaigns for indie games with sharp edges, strange hearts, and cult-favorite potential. You’ll own the strategy behind how our games show up in the world, from positioning and audience insights to creative concepts, launch beats, digital stunts, events, trailers, and the occasional idea that makes Legal blink twice. What You’ll Do: Developing and executing global marketing strategies built on actual research, audience insights, and deep brand positioning for games that laugh in the face of genre constraints. Planning and running global activations including industry events, media showcases, and digital stunts. Concepting and overseeing creative campaigns, especially weird experimental activations designed to haunt a player’s brain for weeks. Creating and maintaining timelines across marketing ops including production schedules, asset drops, and beats calendars to keep momentum strong. Collaborating with developers, artists, and external partners to bring assets to life: key art, promos, videos, memes, even the cursed ones we can’t explain in public. Working with other dangerously smart gremlins across production and community to keep the vibes aligned and the chaos controlled (mostly). What You Bring: 4-5 years of brand marketing experience in the games industry (ideally indie, we like it scrappy and weird). At least 1 game shipped on Steam and/or game consoles. A
