Job Summary The Chief Building Engineer plays a key leadership role in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems within a luxury high-rise community. This position manages the on-site engineering team, coordinates vendor work, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and building standards. The ideal professional is proactive, highly skilled, and takes pride in maintaining a best-in-class residential environment. Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 annually Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (with 24/7 emergency availability) Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, train, and manage the onsite engineering and maintenance team, ensuring high performance and accountability. Oversee the maintenance and operation of all mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Conduct routine inspections, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure all systems operate at optimal efficiency. Coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to standards. Assist with RFP preparation, bid evaluations, and capital improvement projects.
