Chief of Party

World Vision is hiring a Chief of Party for an anticipated global emergency response project. At a Glance Role: Chief of Party Reports to: Chief Impact Officer/ Sr. Vice President, International Programs Location: Washington, DC preferred or remote Duration: 12 months contract (Limited Term) Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required. A master’s degree in international development, business administration, non-profit management or related a concentration from an accredited U.S. college or university, or international equivalent preferred.. Minimum 8-10 years of experience serving as Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Project Director, or similar senior leadership role for publicly funded large humanitarian programs. Experience managing sub-grants and contracts under grants for complex projects. Experience of leading large and diverse teams. Experience working with local, international, and community organizations. Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and UN clusters. Experience leading programs valued at more than USD $100 million. Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A for any employer Travel: Domestic and international travel up to 20%. May require trips to hazardous locations. Estimated hiring range: $123,700 - $184,360 Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. The Job World Vision is seeking a Chief of Party who will be primarily responsible for leading the timely, effective, and accountable implementation of numerous projects in high-risk, complex contexts. The Chief of Party bares primary leadership responsibility for the successful implementation of multi-country, multi-partner grant-funded projects including managing spending, operations and all other elements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large organizations, building capacity of smaller organizations, and in general being responsible f
