Child Psychologist

ICF is currently seeking a Child Psychologist to serve as part of a team of clinical and other subject matter experts supporting ACF’s mission to foster health and well-being through effective, accountable, and compassionate human services. This project is part of our Prevention of Sexual Abuse project that conducts compliance audits and technical assistance for the Office of Refugee Resettlement provider community. This team’s mission is to ensure clinical, behavioral health, disability-related, and psychosocial risk factors are identified and addressed, and that system-wide practices, policies, and provider operations promote safe, trauma-informed, and compliant care environments working in concert to prevent sexual abuse, sexual harassment, and other forms of child abuse and neglect. This is for a six-month duration with the opportunity for extension beyond the initial term, subject to project needs, funding, and organizational requirements . The Child Psychologist’s alignment to this mission is supporting the identification, prevention, and response to behavioral and trauma-related risks that may contribute to unsafe environments or increase vulnerability to abuse. This position is full-time with on-call/after hours availability. The position will require approximately 25% travel to provider sites. Roles and Responsibilities Support quality assurance of mental health care, including routine screening practices. Increase access to quality mental health services for UAC. Build capacity of behavioral health providers and support referral networks. Support surveillance of mental health conditions across UAC populations. Conduct site visits and needs assessments of mental health services. Train staff and stakeholders on trauma-informed care and child safety practices. Participate in cross-ORR workgroups to ensure compliance and service quality. Determine appropriate mental health responses to suspected or substantiated sexual abuse/harassment.
