Civil Engineering Project Manager - Land Development

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager candidate to join our Land Development Group located in our Richmond, VA office location. This role would focus mostly on large scale campus style development projects. We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Our project managers will typically work with a team of 2-3 design engineers to bring our client’s vision to life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems Prepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project Work with design engineers to complete design details and plan sets Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates Coordinate design details and requirements with a multidisciplinary team of A/E professionals Communicate with clients, staff, internal and external design team members Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a scientific area and/or equivalent work experience Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of experience in civil engineering related to campus style land development projects Must have a thorough understanding of project accounting an
