This role sits inside the Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) Hybrid Threat Action Platform (HTAP) program team and is responsible for translating defined mission requirements into robust, reusable, and secure software tools on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The individual will contribute directly to the software development lifecycle, developing clean code, integrating APIs, and participating in peer code reviews. The individual will work collaboratively alongside data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, and mission owners to enhance and sustain a cutting-edge analytics environment for Allied, partner, and US operations. Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices for a cloud-native environment. Contribute to the design of software subsystems, promoting code reuse and adhering to established engineering best practices. Develop and integrate custom APIs, including those that expose AI/ML model outputs for enterprise applications. Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and Confidential Compute instances, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the building, testing, and deployment of software. Configure application monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud's operations suite (Cloud Logging/Monitoring) to maintain system health and performance.
