Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per quarter About the Role We are seeking a Senior FinOps Developer Engineer to join our Cloud Business Office team and help maximize the value of our AWS cloud investments. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data, and cloud financial management (FinOps). You will design and build scalable solutions that provide real-time visibility, cost optimization, and financial governance across AWS environments. Beyond analysis, this role emphasizes automation, tooling, and engineering-driven FinOps practices to enable teams to make cost-efficient decisions. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Finance, and Cloud Platform teams to embed cost awareness into the development lifecycle and drive a culture of accountability and optimization. What You’ll Do: AWS Cost Engineering & Optimization Develop and maintain automated solutions to monitor, analyze, and optimize AWS spend across accounts and services Identify and implement cost-saving strategies (e.g., rightsizing, Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, storage tiering, scheduling) Build cost-aware architectures in collaboration with engineering teams FinOps Platform Development Design and implement FinOps tooling, APIs, and data pipelines for cost visibility and governance Automate cost allocation, tagging enforcement, and chargeback/showback models Integrate AWS billing data into centralized data platforms for analytics and reporting Data, Reporting & Forecasting Build scalable dashboards and reporting systems using tools like QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI Develop forecasting models and anomaly detection systems for cloud spend Enable self-service cost insights for engineering and business teams Governance & Best Practices Establish and enforce cloud cost governance frameworks, tagging standards, and policies Embed FinOps principles into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows Drive adoption of cost optimization best practices across teams Collaboration & Ena
