Build tasks across security operations , threat detection , vulnerability testing , and security architecture . Develop scenarios using tools like SIEM platforms ( Splunk , Microsoft Sentinel ), EDR tools ( CrowdStrike ), and vulnerability scanners ( Tenable , Qualys ). Apply cybersecurity methodologies to standards like NIST CSF , SOC 2 , ISO 27001 , and NIS2 . Author rubrics that capture senior security judgment beyond textbook recall. Qualifications Must-Have 5+ years as a security engineer or CISO at a major company or security firm. Direct ownership of incident response programs , security architecture , or compliance initiatives . Fluency in security tooling and understanding of regulatory frameworks. Preferred Recognized professional credential ( CISSP , CISM , or equivalent). Prior rubric or training authorship.
