Data Engineer

Listed as a remote role based in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role Design and operate data pipelines for ifap DataServices Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Python with FastAPI services and Apache Spark/Scala workloads Collaborate with Product Management, AI Engineers, and Architects to design data products Utilize AI tools like Claude Code and AI-Agents to accelerate development Implement automated tests, CI/CD, and stringent schema management for data pipelines What You'll Need Several years of senior experience in Data Engineering with Python and a proven track record operating production data pipelines Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical field Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark/PySpark, Kafka) and cloud data platforms (ideally AWS) Demonstrated effective use of AI in software and data engineering, ideally with Claude Code or similar agentic tools Fluent German and English, strong problem-solving skills, innovation, proactivity, and an entrepreneurial mindset What's On Offer Mobile work: 2 days remote, 3 days on-site Attractive locations with fully equipped workspaces and regular events In-house academy and external partners for professional development Health focus: on-site canteen and fully equipped gym with weekly classes Apply via Haystack today!
