At GDIT, people are our differentiator. GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Data Scientist Senior to transform how government agencies use data. Our work depends on a hands-on data scientist joining our team to design and implement artificial intelligence solutions supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hosting, Operations & Maintenance (HOM) program. HOW THE DATA SCIENTIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Accelerate our work by integrating advanced AI capabilities across our suite Accelerate the use of and evaluate the efficacy of AI coding tools across the team Implement both custom-built and vendor/COTS AI solutions, hands-on, from prototype through production Design and implement AI solutions for automated program accomplishment tracking and reporting, including intelligent classification systems and proactive knowledge management Implement generative AI (GenAI) with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) to deliver precise, data-driven responses Build an agentic framework enabling service ticket management, account administration, and intelligent journey orchestration WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field Experience: 5+ year
