Overview: We are seeking a database operations engineer to support the health, performance, and reliability of our database environments. You’ll work cross functionally with several data/technology teams across the firm, giving you real visibility into how data powers the business. In this role, you partner closely with senior members of the team, monitoring performance, supporting critical maintence and troubleshooting efforts through automation, documentation, performance tuning, and data migration/disaster recovery efforts. Responsibilities: Monitor database health, performance, and availability Assist in performing routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and patching Help troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents Support the creation and maintenance of database documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures Assist with user access management, permissions, and basic security configurations Write and optimize basic SQL queries for data retrieval, reporting, and troubleshooting Participate in on-call rotation for database operations support (with senior backup) Collaborate with software engineers and analysts to support d
