Database Engineer

**This position is a direct hire for one of our clients. This is a remote position. Eligible candidates must currently reside in the US and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.** Our client is looking for a Database Engineer to strengthen database engineering capabilities within their architecture team. In this role, you'll partner closely with software engineers and application teams to review SQL and stored procedure changes, assess performance impacts, refine data modeling and access patterns, and speed up triage of database-related production issues. Primary Duties Partner with software engineers and application teams to review SQL and stored procedure changes. Assess the potential impact of database changes, including performance, reliability, and downstream application effects. Support database-related incident triage, monitoring alerts, and production issue remediation. Help improve data models, data access patterns, and database governance practices. Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to strengthen database engineering practices across multiple application teams. Contribute to future database initiatives, which may include monitoring improvements, disaster recovery planning, SQL upgrades, database migrations, and SQL release pipeline work. Provide practical guidance to teams working with shared data and application-layer database needs. Qualifications
