About the Role: The Special Projects Group of KPFF is growing and looking for an ambitious and initiative-driven Design-Build Deputy Design Manager to strengthen our dynamic team in Seattle or Tacoma, WA . You will be working on a diverse range of complex fish passage, roadway and transportation improvements on design-build projects. As a key member of our team, you'll use your existing expertise in design build, but also dive deep into the realms of project management and delivering unparalleled client service. What You’ll Be Doing: Design Build and Development: Support the Design Manager to coordinate with all complimentary disciplines (roadway, drainage, structural, traffic, public involvement and environmental), technical preparation and supervision of roadway and transit design tasks including quality reviews. Support the management of the project, scope, schedule, design, and quality. Review plans, prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents and estimates. Lead, develop and review post design construction related tasks including; NDCs, FDCs, RFIs, PCO’s and manage design risk through construction. Assure the project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restr
