ABOUT NEW ENERGY NEXUS New Energy Nexus (NEX) is an international NGO that supports climate solutions and builds a more equitable clean energy economy. Our laser focus is on clean energy entrepreneurs: providing them with funds, accelerators, and networks to thrive. They are our main audience and our agent of change. We started in California in 2004 and now operate across China, India, Southeast Asia, East and West Africa, and Australia. We have leveraged US$5.4 billion in investment and supported more than 11,000 entrepreneurs. ABOUT THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY The Development team leads NEX’s fundraising efforts across the organization, bringing together global and local fundraising capabilities to strengthen relationships, grow funding, and support NEX’s programs and chapters. Because our fundraising work is distributed across countries and teams, strong systems, accurate data, and consistent processes are essential to making the most of our global network. The Development Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Development team, with a particular focus on maintaining accurate fundraising data and producing timely, useful reports. This role will manage routine data entry and upkeep in NEX’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; follow up with staff to fill data gaps; and prepare monthly fundraising reports by extracting, organizing, checking, and presenting CRM data. The Development Coordinator will also support proposal and grant administration, donor communications, events, and other team needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented person who enjoys working with data and systems and is excited to build their skills in nonprofit fundraising and development. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES CRM & Fundraising Data Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor, contact, opportunity, and proposal information in the CRM. Review CRM data regularly and identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent information.
