DevOps Engineer II

As a DevOps Engineer II at Synapse Analytics, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for guiding the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and high-value hybrid infrastructure for our core products. You'll move beyond assisting with infrastructure tasks to taking ownership of more complex deployment components across both cloud and on-premises environments, contributing significantly to our infrastructure roadmap and strategy. You will also begin to mentor junior team members. Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code for significant product features across cloud and on-premises systems. Ensure the reliability and feasibility of infrastructure designs by collaborating closely with design and engineering teams. Optimize CI/CD pipelines for maximum value, speed, and alignment with strategic goals for hybrid deployments. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, designers, and the development team to define infrastructure requirements and deliver integrated software solutions. Clearly and regularly communicate infrastructure decisions, progress, and challenges with management and cross-functional teams. Lead infrastructure review sessions for peers and junior DevOps engineers, providing in-depth constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to high-quality standards. Research and stay up-to-date with the latest market trends and technologies, actively proposing and evaluating new opportunities for the company's hybrid infrastructure.
