Who will you be working with? You'll be joining Wabtec Bus Solutions, a team driving innovation in Transit Bus & Rail systems, including passenger door systems, wheelchair lifts & ramps, e-Bus charging systems, driver’s protective barriers, and more. We blend technical expertise with deep product knowledge to deliver high-impact solutions for our customers and communities. How will you make a difference? As an engineer within Wabtec Bus Solutions, you will support the design and development focused on a mix of controls, harnesses, and other electrical systems for doors, ramps, lifts, charging, and other bus-related product lines. Reporting to the Engineering Manager or Supervisor, and sometimes working under guidance of senior engineers, you will design and develop electrical based components and assemblies, assist in product development, and help ensure compliance with engineering standards. This role is ideal for engineers looking to deepen their technical skills and operate within a collaborative, cross-functional environment. What do we want to know about you? You may be a good fit if you have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (ABET-accredited) 3+ years of relevant experience Basic project management skills (scopes, plans, & costs) Experience supporting development of electrical based systems in transportation Familiarity of electrical design of systems and components including engineering & manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures Basic problem-solving skills Familiarity of NPD Stage Gate, DFMEA, Problem Solving Techniques, DFM/DFA, Engineering Analysis, & Hand Calculations Experience in PCB design with analog/digital circuits, power, and signal conditioning Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs Proficiency with electrical test equipment and troubleshooting tools Ability to create and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings Organizational and time management skills Ability to
