NTIA manages the Federal use of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum; performs cutting-edge telecommunications research and engineering, including resolving technical telecommunications issues for the Federal Government and private sector. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a RF Engineer Sr Principal, you must understand how the federal government assigns EM spectrum frequencies for satellites, radars, antennas, receivers and transmitters. You must also understand compliance with the “Redbook” found here: https://redbook.ntia.gov . You must have a good understanding of the Table of Allocations (TOA). Working knowledge of EL-CID Desktop is a huge plus as functionality currently in EL-CID Desktop must be implemented in EL-CID Online. EL-CID Desktop exports files in .CID format (actual application is XML). You must have knowledge of XML. You must understand how to show graphically (line diagrams, curve diagrams, etc.), system inter- and intra- relationships. As a RF Engineer Sr Principal, you will need to write requirements in the form of JIRA tickets (called stories) with acceptance criteria.
