About the role: Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Engineer or Engineer in Training, Mining, is responsible for developing and optimizing strategic mid-range plans at Elkview Operations. The role involves executing all aspects of mid-range planning including pit, spoil, and haul road design optimizations, 2-5 year schedules, strategic evaluations, all while considering potential impacts to sustainable development. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to make a positive impact on the business. To be successful, we require a person who is self-motivated and enjoys working in a team environment with all levels of an organization. This person has strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and is dedicated to continuous improvement.
