Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY ENGINEER As part of the SpaceX EHS Team, you will provide timely, clear, and high-quality technical expertise and assist in the implementation of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the construction, expansion, and operation of SpaceX's advanced AI infrastructure and large-scale compute facilities. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in both environmental and occupational safety, hands-on, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. We work as a tightly integrated team, and responsibilities will include supporting other programs to ensure the overall success of SpaceX's mission. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and/or guidelines established by OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other relevant regulatory agencies. Collaborate with department leadership, engineering teams, and facility managers to complete job hazard assessments and implement robust health and safety policies and procedures. Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards and develop recommendations for remedial actions when safety standards are not met. Develop and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations established by the EPA, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, and other environmental and transportation agencies. Work closely with AI hardware engineers, construction teams, and operations technicians to perform detailed safety reviews of complex operations involving high-power systems, cooling infrastructure, and hazardous materials to ensure safe execution.
