Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Avery Dennison systems and equipment across customer locations within our apparel business segment. This role acts as a point of escalation for regular technical issues and requires a blend of technical proficiency, leadership, and customer-focused service delivery. As our "eyes and ears" in the market, you will observe and share feedback on customer needs and market trends with our internal commercial and engineering teams to drive business development. Key Responsibilities This is an on-site position based at our Istanbul site, requiring an average of 40-60% travel to customer locations. Manage the installation and system integration of Avery Dennison equipment at customer sites using provided pool cars or expensed travel. Execute troubleshooting and problem resolution for mechanical, electrical, hardware, and software systems. Perform proactive maintenance and performance optimization to ensure equipment reliability. Act as a market intelligence link by providing feedback to internal commercial and engineering teams regarding observations at customer sites. Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hardware, and software systems in the apparel industry (e.g., RFID, thermal printing, PLCs, IoT). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English, with the ability to simplify complex technical information. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing issues under pressure. A minimum of 2 years in the field service industry with experience in complex systems. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 40-60% of the time to support customer sites.
