Fleet & Technical Support Manager

Who will you be working with? You will work closely with Field Operations, Engineering, Aftermarket Services, customers, equipment operators, technicians, vendors, and management teams. This role serves as a key technical resource supporting the reliability and performance of custom-built rail inspection vehicles, ultrasonic testing systems, and proprietary inspection technologies. Collaboration across departments is critical to ensure fleet readiness, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Rail Flaw Detection (RFD) Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, compliance, and technical performance of the RFD fleet and associated inspection systems. This role serves as the primary owner of fleet health and uptime while providing advanced technical support for specialized rail inspection equipment and onboard technologies. You will act as the technical bridge between Operations, Engineering, Aftermarket Services, and customers to resolve equipment issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance overall fleet performance. Through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support, you will help ensure safe, efficient, and compliant rail inspection operations. What do we want to know about you? Required Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Fleet Management, Railroad Operations, or a related technical field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fleet operations, maintenance management, railroad operations, non-destructive testing (NDT), or a related technical environment. Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and coordinating equipment repairs and inspections.
