Founding Full Stack Engineer

About the Role This is a founding engineering role at an early-stage healthtech SaaS company building the system of record for nursing excellence. The platform helps large health systems improve nurse retention and patient outcomes by centralizing professional governance, digital clinical ladder programs, clinical inquiry (EBP, QI, Research), and ANCC designation management — replacing fragmented spreadsheets and shared drives with a unified, enterprise-grade product. You'll be the first or among the first engineers, working directly with the founding team to own architecture, set standards, and ship production features across four integrated products. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role in a massive and underserved healthcare vertical. No visa sponsorship is available. What You'll Do Own end-to-end architecture and ship production features across a suite of four integrated SaaS products Design data models and backend services for complex multi-hospital, multi-unit organizational structures Build AI workflows for exemplar writing, evidence organization, and document retrieval across large program datasets Implement enterprise infrastructure including SSO/SAML, role-based access control (RBAC), audit logging, and HRIS integrations Join customer calls, hear problems firsthand, and translate feedback into shipped product within tight timelines Define and establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and scalable architectural patterns for a growing team What We're Looking For Required: 5+ years of experience building production SaaS products Strong full-stack development skills: TypeScript, React, and server-side JavaScript (Node.js) Experience designing backend systems for multi-tenant or multi-unit, workflow-heavy applications Hands-on experience with enterprise authentication (SSO/SAML), RBAC, audit logging, and HRIS integration Experience building
