Frontend Engineer – React/Next.js

Location: Frankfurt, Germany (Remote/flexible option available) Employment type: Full-time Experience: 0–3 years Joining: Immediate to [30/45] days About the role We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build polished, intuitive and high-performance experiences for AutoPresent. Our product involves complex interfaces for generating presentations, editing slides, uploading documents, previewing AI outputs and managing presentation workflows. You will work on product experiences that combine the responsiveness of modern web software with the complexity of presentation-editing tools. Strong candidates with excellent personal projects may apply even without extensive professional experience. What you will do Build responsive product interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript. Develop workflows for creating, editing and reviewing AI-generated presentations. Build interactive interfaces involving file uploads, slide previews and rich content. Translate product and design requirements into polished user experiences. Integrate frontend applications with backend and AI APIs. Create reusable components and contribute to the product’s design system. Improve page performance, responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. Handle loading states, errors, retries and complex asynchronous workflows. Identify usability issues and propose product improvements. Write maintainable code and participate in code reviews. Work closely with product, design, backend and AI engineers. What we are looking for Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript. Experience with React. Understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design and browser fundamentals. Experience consuming REST APIs. Ability to translate designs into accurate, production-quality interfaces. Good understanding of component architecture and state management. Strong attention to visual detail. Ability to independently debug and resolve frontend issues. Good to have Experience with Next.js. Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or modern component libraries. Experience with rich-text editors, canvas-based applications or drag-and-drop interfaces. Familiarity with Zustand, Redux, React Query or similar tools. Understanding of frontend performance optimization. Experience working on SaaS, productivity or design software.
