Full Stack Developer

Listed as a remote role based in Poland. Company Description Automoves is a vehicle shipping company specializing in reliable transport across Canada. We move a wide range of vehicles: cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, collector and sports cars, non-running vehicles, project cars, and race cars. By combining dependable logistics with flexible service offerings, we support both individual and business clients who require safe and efficient vehicle transport. On the technology side, we are building the digital infrastructure that will power our operations across North America. THE ROLE The expectation is strategy before execution: understanding the business problem, designing the right architecture, and building something the team can grow on top of. You will own the full platform: a web SaaS, the API layer, automation workflows, and the integrations that connect leads, operations, and communications. You will also contribute to a mobile app currently in active development, built on React Native and Expo. This role involves constant collaboration. You will work regularly with QA, ops, content, and leadership. Expect regular working sessions, not just async tickets. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Web Platform and API – SaaS platform covering the core operations of the business – API design and development supporting both web and mobile – Authentication, role-based access, and security – Database design and optimization – Real-time data features Automation and Integrations – Automated lead pipeline from ad platforms through to follow-up communications – Workflow automation using n8n, Zapier, and Make – Email and SMS automation triggered by user and operational events – CRM, payment, and third-party service integrations Mobile App – Driver-facing mobile app with real-time tracking, photo capture, and push notifications – Fleet monitoring console for operations – Offline support and background task management – App Store and Play Store deployment via EAS Infrastructure – CI/CD pipelines and build automation – Cloud hosting, monitoring, crash reporting, and logging – Security best practices across the stack ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES – Product development (35%): build new features, iterate based on feedback, run user testing – Integrations and automation (20%): connect new APIs, build internal tooling, optimize workflows – Collaboration (20%): sessions with QA, ops, content, and leadership on product direction and strategy – R&D (10%): prototype new features, explore AI/ML applications for logistics, stay ahead of the stack – Platform maintenance (10%): monitor uptime, fix bugs, handle security and dependency updates – Analytics and reporting (5%): custom dashboards, product metrics, user behavior tracking QUALIFICATIONS Mobile – React Native with Expo and Expo Router – React fundamentals are essential: hooks, component architecture, state management – TypeScript is required throughout – Background location and task management on iOS and Android – Push notifications on both platforms – OTA deployment workflows – Experience with native device config on iOS and Android Backend – 9+ years of backend experience: Node.js or equivalent – NestJS – RESTful API design, JWT authentication, role-based access control – PostgreSQL, ORM experience – Object storage integrations – Real-time data: WebSockets or equivalent – Email and SMS integration Frontend – 9+ years with React.js: hooks, state management, component architecture – React is used heavily across the entire stack – HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), responsive design – TypeScript throughout Automation and Integrations – Hands-on experience with n8n, Zapier, Make (Integromat), or equivalent – Automated lead pipelines from ad platforms to CRM to communications – Webhook design and third-party service integrations – CRM integration experience Infrastructure – CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance – Cloud hosting: AWS, GCP, Railway, Render, or Vercel – Monitoring, crash reporting, and logging – Security best practices – Direct experience working with North American clients or companies – English is strong, written, and spoken NICE TO HAVE – Experience in logistics, transportation, or automotive platforms – GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes – AI/ML basics: enough to implement an API and interpret outputs – Automated testing: Jest, Cypress, Detox for mobile WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR BEYOND THE STACK – Strategic thinking is the foundation of this role: understand the problem, design the right architecture, and build for the long term – You communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical people – You raise problems early, not at the deadline – You understand business context and build for it, not just for technical elegance – You work independently and take full ownership of your scope – You have opinions, and you back them up WHO THRIVES HERE We are not looking for someone who needs structure handed to them.
