Role Overview As the Head of Engineering at Seobility, you lead the technical heart of a mature, high-traffic SEO SaaS product. We've just completed a large relaunch of the platform last year — and are digging into the real work now: evolving what an SEO tool does as AI rewrites how people search and what they expect from software. In a rapidly changing market shaped by AI-driven search, you lead our organizational and technical evolution. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bridge the gap between engineering challenges and business impact. You guide the team through a transformation toward greater autonomy and lead them towards outcome-focussed execution and AI-native engineering. We're a small, senior team — ambitious and driven, but we genuinely look out for each other. You'll find real scope to own and room to grow. Your Impact (First 3-6 Months) Build Trusting Partnerships: Establish deep working relationships with the engineering team and tech leads to foster our culture of psychological safety and high performance. Enable Distributed Ownership: Support the team in fostering ownership for outcomes. Guide the transition from functional (FE/BE) to end-to-end ownership. Optimize and Leverage: Partner with the team to identify friction, bottlenecks and AI leverage potential. Implement a value-driven delivery flow with improved predictability and velocity. Strategic Roadmap: Start executing on a roadmap that balances the strategic transformation of our engineering (e.g. tech debt, AI-native engineering,
