Interface Developer Intern
Listed as a remote role based in Rome, Latium, Italy.
Our partner is a Rome based agricultural technology firm that operates complex supply chains and logistics networks across southern Europe. As they manage large volumes of technical data, they have tasked Mosaic Conseil with rebuilding their internal pricing models and financial reporting structures. This work requires high precision, moving away from cluttered spreadsheets toward clear, functional digital artifacts. As an Interface Developer Intern, you will assist in translating these logical models into clean, browser based views that allow the client to interact with their data without unnecessary complexity. About Mosaic Conseil Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote consultancy. We function more like a workshop than a corporate agency. We do not work on standing retainers, and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we take business artifacts, such as three year plans or pricing grids, apart on the bench. We rebuild them based on the evidence found in the invoice ledger. The firm is small by design, ensuring that every person who works on a file is directly involved in the logic and the final result. Because we are a remote organization, we prioritize written clarity and deep work over frequent meetings and office culture. We focus on four specific sectors: financial services, industrial networks, software companies, and healthcare systems. What you would do In this role, your primary task is to support the creation of digital interfaces for the financial and operational models we build. You will work closely with a lead builder to understand the underlying data and logic of the agricultural technology firm is models. Your day to day work involves: Developing clean, functional front end components for internal business tools. Translating complex data sets and pricing grids into intuitive, readable layouts. Collaborating with the team to ensure that the interface remains faithful to the core mathematical logic of the artifact. Iterating on designs based on direct feedback from the builder and the challenger on the project. Writing clear, legible code that can be maintained and audited by others. Focusing on the utility and accuracy of the interface rather than decorative elements. Ensuring that the final digital files are easy for the client to use over long periods. Helpful background We are looking for individuals who are interested in the mechanics of how data is presented. This is an internship, so we value curiosity and a strong foundation in technical skills over years of professional history. You should have some familiarity with the following: Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A fundamental understanding of how to structure data for the web. Interest in business logic and financial mathematics. A preference for simple, functional design over complex or flashy visuals. The ability to follow technical instructions and ask clarifying questions when logic is unclear. Comfort working in a remote environment where communication happens primarily through text and scheduled calls. Willingness to learn the builder and challenger model used throughout our firm. How we work Our process is personal and focused. Every file at Mosaic carries two names: one person who builds and one who argues against what was built. This ensures that every assumption is tested before we return a file to the client. We do not have juniors who are hidden behind managers: you will be involved in the actual work from the start. We work remotely, which means there are no meetings that we did not schedule in advance. This structure allows us to spend our time thinking and building rather than navigating corporate theater. We return artifacts to our clients that are supported by written arguments and backed by a telephone number that we answer for ninety days after the project finishes. What the role offers This is a full time, paid internship. The compensation is competitive for the market and reflect the high standards of accuracy we maintain. You will have the opportunity to work on real, complex business problems for an international agricultural technology group without the distractions of a traditional office. The position is fully remote, granting you the autonomy to manage your workspace and focus on deep, technical tasks. You will gain experience in how to build functional business tools and how to defend your technical choices against rigorous internal critique. Working at Mosaic Conseil means valuing intellectual honesty and the discipline of a small team. We believe that the best work comes from quiet concentration and a commitment to the facts found at the floor of the business. By focusing on the evidence in the ledger and the clarity of the interface, we provide our clients with tools that actually work when they are put to use.
