Huawei Canada has an immediate 4-8 month internship opening for an Engineer. About the team: The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills. About the job: Unpack ambiguous, high-level objectives into concrete system specifications, execution graphs, and testable criteria. Orchestrate multi-agent workflows—seamlessly integrating code agents, web-browsing agents, local LLMs, and human-in-the-loop reviewers. Leverage AI coding tools as primary autonomous contributors, pushing beyond passive auto-complete to power end-to-end development. Dynamically dispatch computing and research tasks across cloud API models, local execution runtimes, and specialized AI sub-agents. Ensure every AI-generated artifact is supported by rigorous logs, automated test coverage, citation lineage, and reproducible runs. Build system pipelines capable of literature scanning, hypothesis extraction, benchmark replication, and automated report synthesis. Maintain structured long-term memory systems, context graphs, and project-level execution logs to accumulate reusable engineering knowledge. The total target annual compensation (based on 2,080 hours per year) ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
