We are looking for an experienced IT administrator to oversee IT systems and infrastructure across our German operations, which now include multiple offices. This hands-on role will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability and compliance of our environment as the company grows quickly in Germany. The successful candidate will oversee network and systems administration, identity and access management, and cybersecurity operations, while driving the certifications and compliance work required to support our defence customers and joint venture. This is a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly, so the ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple offices and maintain effectiveness under changing demands is essential. As the role involves handling export-controlled systems and information, specific compliance and eligibility requirements apply. You will work alongside an IT Support Engineer who is already based on site, and you will receive support and direction from the IT Manager, who will oversee the function. Responsibilities and Duties Own the administration and maintenance of network infrastructure across all German offices, including firewalls, switches and wireless networks. Manage cloud platforms and licenses, ensuring availability and performance. Administer and maintain VS-NfD network, ensuring it is configured, operated, and documented in line with the applicable classified handling requirements. Drive and maintain the IT certifications and compliance controls required for defense work and the joint venture, working within applicable export control obligations. Administer Identity and Access Management (IAM), including user provisioning, de-provisioning and periodic access reviews. Manage cybersecurity tooling, including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, SIEM and phishing simulation platforms.
