Our current focus involves a significant project for a major Italian infrastructure group, where we are tasking ourselves with auditing and redrawing the financial models that support their industrial networks. About Mosaic Conseil We are a small, focused consultancy that chooses to stay small. By remaining independent and remote, we ensure that the people who do the technical work are the same people who answer the telephone. We focus on four specific rooms: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. Our work is handled on paper and backed by a written argument rather than a visual presentation. This ensures that every assumption is tested before a file closes. We value the discipline of deep work and the ability to find evidence at the floor of the business. What you would do In this role, you will support the rebuilding of complex analytical models. The day to day work is focused on the data that fuels these business artifacts. You will spend your time: Reviewing invoice ledgers and financial data to find the ground truth of the business operations. Rebuilding spreadsheets and analytical models from scratch to ensure theoretical logic matches reality. Drafting clear, written explanations for why specific data points were changed or kept. Assisting the lead analyst in identifying inconsistencies in large datasets provided by our partners. Organizing data from the Italian infrastructure group into clear, functional models that can be tested. Participating in the challenger process, where you will look for flaws in a model built by another team member. Ensuring that every file we return to a client is accurate and supported by physical evidence. Helpful background This is an entry level position. We are looking for individuals who have a logical mind and a high comfort level with data. We do not require years of professional experience, but we do look for the following qualities: A college degree or equivalent experience in a field that requires quantitative analysis or logical reasoning. Basic proficiency in tools like Excel, where you can navigate formulas and data structures comfortably. An interest in learning how physical industries, such as infrastructure and industrial networks, are modeled financially. The ability to write clearly and concisely without using corporate jargon. A disciplined approach to work, as this role is fully remote and requires significant focus. Curiosity about how business artifacts work under the hood and a willingness to ask difficult questions. Familiarity with or an interest in learning SQL or Python for data extraction is useful but not mandatory.
