Listed as a remote role based in Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain. Olive Tree Consulting is adding a Junior UI Developer to our remote team. This role is central to a specific engagement we are leading for a prominent Spanish logistics firm. We are working with their leadership to simplify their internal coordination, and you will be responsible for building the digital interfaces that make these new management habits possible. This is a full-time, permanent position designed for someone early in their career who wants to see how software directly supports business operations. About the Role At Olive Tree, we believe that software should make work easier to hold. For our client in the logistics sector, this means creating interfaces that are incredibly clear and free of clutter. You will not be building flashy marketing sites. Instead, you will focus on internal tools that help managers track decisions, assign ownership, and manage the rhythm of their meetings. The goal is to build interfaces so simple that they require no manual or training. You will work closely with our consultants to translate their organizational maps into functional, browser-based tools that the client team will use every day. What You Will Do Write clean, readable HTML and CSS to build interface components. Translate low-fidelity wireframes and sketches into functional prototypes. Ensure that all interfaces are accessible and work consistently across different browsers. Collaborate with the consulting team to understand the specific management problems we are trying to solve. Document your code and the logic behind UI decisions so the client can maintain the tools in the future. Refine existing interfaces based on direct feedback from the people using them. Keep the codebase organized and participate in small-scale code reviews with your peers. What We Are Looking For We need someone who values clarity over complexity. In this role, your ability to follow a logical structure is just as important as your technical skill. You should be someone who notices when a button is out of place or when a label is confusing. Because we are a remote firm, you must be a clear communicator in writing. We look for people who are comfortable asking questions when a requirement is unclear and who take pride in finishing a task thoroughly. You do not need to be an expert, but you must be curious about how people actually interact with software in a professional setting. Helpful Background Basic proficiency in modern CSS and HTML5. Familiarity with JavaScript and at least one front-end framework like React or Vue. An understanding of version control basics using Git. A basic grasp of layout principles and typography. Experience from a degree program, a coding bootcamp, or personal projects that show you can build a working webpage. The ability to explain technical choices in plain English. What We Offer This is a fully remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from a location that suits your life. We offer a professional environment where the focus is on the quality of work rather than the number of hours spent at a desk. The pay for this position is competitive for the market and reflects the importance of the role within our client projects. You will have the chance to learn how a focused advisory practice operates and see the immediate impact of your code on a large-scale logistics operation. We provide the support and mentorship needed to help you grow your technical skills in a practical, real-world context. About Olive Tree Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company growth. We favor practical changes over large-scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own. The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow-up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
