Lead Engineer, Engine Wiring Harnesses

The Lead Engineer will have technical ownership of engine wiring harnesses for internal combustion engines. Responsibilities include component design and design validation, supporting cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and remanufacturing process optimization, and providing manufacturing and assembly support at Wabtec’s Grove City, PA engine facilities (GRV and GRR). This position is in-person, on-site, located in Grove City, PA. The role requires demonstrated experience in reciprocating engine development with component‑level expertise to develop and evaluate designs that satisfy application‑specific requirements for durability, performance, reliability, and total life‑cycle cost. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred 2–5 years of experience supporting reciprocating or internal combustion engine development Knowledge of internal combustion engine component design, with experience in heavy‑duty/off‑road applications (e.g., locomotive, mining, industrial) Demonstrated experience executing reliability improvement projects, including root cause analysis and verification/validation of solutions Ability to develop and execute component validation plans and reliability analyses (including Weibull analysis) Proven ability to deliver results and lead technical efforts in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment with Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Qu
