The Manager of Engineering is a senior technician role responsible for managing preventive maintenance (PM) strategy, forecasting, capital planning, and regional coordination of building systems in the Sacramento area. This role ensures the alignment of PM programs with portfolio standards and financial planning goals. The Manager of Engineer oversees technical documentation, budgeting, vendor performance, and long-term facility health across the region, as well as mentors Engineers and Maintenance Technicians. Lead regional engineering operations for a portfolio of 7 office buildings totaling 615,000 square feet in the Sacramento market which is part of a larger portfolio of 44+ office and warehouse properties spanning more than 10 million square feet. Develop and manage 10-year repair and maintenance (R&M) forecasts, annual budgets, and capital planning for building systems across the region. Prepare, track, and obtain management approval for Capital Approval Forms (CAFs), preventive maintenance (PM) plans, inspection schedules, and engineering proposals. Develop, maintain, and standardize preventive maintenance scopes, schedules, documentation, and practices across the regional portfolio. Evaluate building systems, equipment condition, and asset life cycles to support maintenance planning, capital investments, and long-term forecasting.
