Role Overview The Managing Director for Finance and Operations will oversee the finance and operations department of Village Capital , ensuring its financial health, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary leader who is both innovative and detail-oriented and excels at balancing strategic financial management with hands-on operations oversight. In coordination with the CEO and the Managing Director for Impact Investments, this role will be tasked with driving forward Village Capital ’s financial strategy and operational model. Experience in investment is essential to effectively integrate Village Capital ’s revenue model, historically reliant on restrictive grant funding, with its ‘fit for purpose’ investment strategy. Village Capital is a nonprofit impact investor; therefore as an intermediary, the business model is dependent on successful delivery, and management, of blended finance. The Managing Director for Finance and Operations should possess expertise in investment management: familiarity with fund administration, investment facilities, and accounting practices, as well as a knowledge of blended finance, and willingness to innovate on how to integrate Village Capital ’s ongoing investment strategy within the organization’s accounting and operatio
