Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for improving and maintaining first pass yield for specified parts and/or processes. This is accomplished by driving continuous improvement initiatives, process development/modification, documentation of standards/best practices, and equipment onboarding/troubleshooting. Candidate shall also support the machine shop by providing technical support, process improvement, troubleshooting, and coordination of tooling, equipment, and workflow needs to improve efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. Candidate shall also support cross functional initiatives with Production, Quality and Purchasing departments to meet company goals and product quality standards. Essential Functions: Troubleshooting of quality issues throughout the production process: CNC machining, metal forming, inspection, measurement equipment Use continuous improvement and lean techniques to increase production efficiency, eliminate waste, and drive cost savings opportunities. Support production staff with specification/technical knowledge, inspection techniques, CNC Machining consumables management and day-to-day trouble shooting efforts. Documentation and standardization of processes via work instructions and operating instructions to increase efficiency, facilitate cross-training and enable proper equipment usage.
