Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will get to use your mechanical engineer skills to focus on HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression and/or facility systems to support Critical Infrastructure projects. What You'll Be Doing: Under the direction of a Senior engineer, prepares standard engineering deliverables such as drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Performs site surveys of existing facilities for as-built document generation, rehabilitation designs, and for construction support of new facilities. Adherence to a Zero-Incident safety goal is expected. Coordinates design input and technical guidance with architects and other engineers to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into the project. Utilization of CAD and/or Building Information Modeling design software is expected. Reviewing and approving mechanical system drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and completeness. Performing technical evaluations of mechanical equipment and systems to ensure they meet performance, safety, and sustainability goals. What Required Skills You'll Bring: 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration and/or Masters Degree are beneficial. 5+ years of related work experience In addition to the above credentials, basic understanding and/or experience in the design and specification of a wide variety of mechanical systems are preferred.
