Timmons Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer I candidate for our Richmond, VA office's Traffic Analysis & Planning Group . Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis; Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation; Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols. Work to complete design details and plan sets Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success. Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: A bachelor’s or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree with coursework in transportation/traffic preferred EIT preferred Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferred Compensation: Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $77,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
