Ops Engineer Senior

We are looking for a who will: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technically related field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience Strong experience in Mainframe Batch Operations , Managing complex batch flows in scheduling tools such as CA-7, TWS/OPC/IZWS is highly desired. Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol and troubleshooting when Batch jobs abend. Ability to represent ops teams in crisis calls, provide batch status updates etc. May lead the design and implementation of operational strategies, including system architecture and infrastructure planning. Proactively identify areas for system improvement, automation, and optimization. Manage and resolve critical incidents, conduct post-incident analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements. Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices for deploying and maintaining software applications. Act as a subject matter expert in system reliability and provide training to junior engineers This position may involve periodic weekend support to ensure operational continuity and successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary is expected.
